Ani DiFranco pencils in more dates for spring tour

Ani DiFranco , who a couple of weeks ago wrapped up a round of U.S. shows, heads back out in April for a spring tour that continues to grow.

The run kicks off on the West Coast in early April, and dates now stretch into mid-May.

One of the best-known figures in indie-rock, DiFranco is supporting her latest album, "Educated Guess." According to Righteous Babe Records' website, the album is, "if you want to get technical, in some ways the first 100%-Ani CD ever; according to the DiFranco-founded label, she recorded the album at home, by herself, using an old analog 8-track reel-to-reel recorder.

Released in January, "Educated Guess" is the follow-up to last year's "Evolve," which earlier this month won a Grammy for Best Recording Package. Credit goes to DiFranco and graphic artist Brian Grunert, according to Righteous Babe.
