Bob Dylan rolls out more tour dates for upcoming road trip
Bob Dylan , who kicks off his latest tour this weekend, continues adding shows to the run.
The outing now stretches into mid-April, and includes a newly added three-night stands in Boston and Atlanta, as well as two Philadelphia-area shows and a fourth Chicago performance; each of the four Chicago dates take place at different venues.
Tickets for most dates are on sale now. Dylan's website will host pre-sales for the three new Atlanta dates beginning on Thursday (2/26), and for the new Philly and Chicago dates beginning on Friday (2/27). Details are posted at the site.
In addition to his headlining shows, Dylan's tour plans include a June 11 performance at this year's Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN. The three-day event will also feature The Dead, Dave Matthews, Willie Nelson and dozens of other acts.
On March 30, Columbia/Legacy offers up Dylan's "Live 1964: Concert at Philharmonic Hall--The Bootleg Series Volume 6," a two-disc set that features 19 tracks recorded during an Oct. 31, 1964 solo-acoustic performance. The tracklist includes "Mr. Tambourine Man," "Gates of Eden" and "It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)," studio versions of which appeared on Dylan's 1965 album, "Another Side of Bob Dylan ."
Earlier this month, Columbia TriStar Home Video released the DVD version of the film "Masked and Anonymous," in which Dylan plays a key role. According to an LA Weekly movie review, the film is "loaded with enough lyric references to keep Dylanologists freeze-framing for years."
