Fuel fires up more tour dates behind 'Natural Selection'
Fuel continues to support last year's "Natural Selection" with a new round of U.S. shows.
The group is set to return to the road in mid-March, and will split its time between headlining dates, festival appearances and a pair of early-April shows in the opening slot on Kid Rock's current tour.
"Natural Selection," which the group released in September, features the cut "Falls On Me" and the single "Million Miles," which sits at No. 16 on Billboard's latest Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The version of the song that has been airing on radio is different than that found on the album, according to a December message that Fuel guitarist and chief-songwriter Carl Bell posted on the band's website.
"I just spent some time in N.Y. remixing and editing the next single which will be a tricked out version of 'Million Miles,' he wrote. "It's pretty cool. ... It's a bit different from the album version and the radio is the only place you will be able to hear the new version. "
Also included on the album is lead-off track "Quarter," which is featured in the recently released PlayStation 2 video game "NFL Street."
Bell co-produced "Natural Selection" with Michael Beinhorn (Ozzy Ozbourne, Korn, Soundgarden).
"Natural Selection" is the follow-up to Fuel's multi-platinum sophomore effort, 2000's "Something Like Human," and 1998's "Sunburn." Epic Records, on the same day that it released "Natural Selection," also issued expanded editions of "Something Like Human" and "Sunburn," both of which feature bonus tracks not found on the original versions.
