P.O.D. follows up Linkin Park dates with headlining tour

P.O.D. will follow its current slot on Linkin Park 's "Meteora" tour with a spring headlining run on the North American theater circuit.

The group plans to hit a total of 40 cities, including Denver, New York; Tulsa, OK; Chicago; Houston; Dallas; St. Louis; Indianapolis; Washington, DC; Cleveland; Milwaukee; Columbus, OH; Atlanta; Orlando; Myrtle Beach, SC; Norfolk, VA; Detroit; Philadelphia; Cincinnati; Kansas City; Minneapolis; Fargo, ND; Grand Forks, ND; San Diego; Seattle; Portland, OR; San Francisco; Los Angeles; Las Vegas; Phoenix; and Boston.

Also planned are Canadian stops in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto and Winnipeg.

Dates and venues will be announced "soon," according to the group's website.

The tour will feature show openers Hazen Street and Lacuna Coil.

P.O.D. released its latest set, "Payable on Death," in November. The album, which is the follow-up to 2002's "Satellite," features the cut "Change the World." The song's music video made its debut on MTV's "TRL" earlier this month.

Linkin Park's tour--which, in addition to P.O.D., also features Hoobastank and Story of the Year-- wraps up in Atlanta on March 6.
