Dashboard Confessional heads up 2004 Honda Civic Tour
Dashboard Confessional occupies the top slot on this year's editon of the Honda Civic Tour, an outing that will also feature Thrice .
The run launches on May 13 in Portland, ME, and wraps up at the end of June. Registered members of the tour's official website will have access to tickets before they are available to the general public.
Additional artists to be announced will join the tour's roster, according to Dashboard Confessional's website.
Led by group anchorman Chris Carrabba, Dashboard Confessional is backing its third full-length studio album, last August's "A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar." Carrabba wrote the set's 13 tracks, while Gil Norton (Pixies, Belly, Foo Fighters) produced.
Dashboard Confessional can be seen in a current episode of MTV2's "Album Covers," during which the band plays its rendition of R.E.M.'s "Automatic for the People"; R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe appears on a few numbers during the show, according to Dashboard Confessional's website, which lists show times for the program.
California quartet Thrice is supporting its Island Records debut, "The Artist in the Ambulance," which surfaced in August.
