Metallica fills in more blanks for third leg of North American tour
Dates continue to surface for the third leg of Metallica 's current North American tour, which now runs into the fall.
The latest dates include new September and October shows in the U.S. and Canada, tickets for several of which will hit the box office on Saturday. Details are shown below.
Tickets for most remaining dates are on sale now. Members of Metallica 's official fan club have access to fan-club-only tickets. Details are available at the fan club's website.
Metallica's latest album, "St. Anger," surfaced last June. The title track won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance at last month's Grammy Awards ceremony..
Boston-based rock quartet Godsmack is opening during the tour's first and second North American legs; according to a spokesperson, the group won't be on board for the third leg. No word yet on who, if anyone, will take over the opening slot.
Next Tuesday (3/16), Godsmack releases "The Other Side," an acoustic set featuring new cuts and acoustic renditions of some of the group's previously released hits. Frontman Sully Erna produced the album, and "Faceless" producer David Bottrill mixed the set.
