Nickelback and 3 Doors Down plot summer co-headlining tour
Multi-platinum rockers Nickelback and 3 Doors Down join forces this summer for a month-long co-headlining tour.
The outing--for which specific dates, cities and venues have not yet been announced--will kick off at the end of June and run through the end of July, according to a press release.
Both bands will perform "full sets produced with their trademark sound and performances that include laser lights, pyrotechnics and video special effects," the release said.
"We had played some shows with Nickelback when we toured in support of our first album, 'The Better Life,' and thought it would be cool to go out with them again" 3DD frontman Brad Arnold said in a statement.
"I can't wait to get back on the road with the 3 Doors boys," Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger added. "They are like family to us and we have had some amazing times together. We are looking forward to some more great times ahead."
Opening acts have not yet been announced. Tour dates and ticket information will be announced next week, according to organizers.
Canada's Nickelback is supporting last September's "The Long Road," which features the hits "Someday" and "Figured You Out." The album's third single, "Feelin' Way Too Damn Good," is due to hit radio in May.
3 Doors Down released its latest set, "Away from the Sun," in 2002. The album has spawned the hits "When I'm Gone," Here Without You" and the album's title track.
