Phil Collins unveils North American tour dates, on-sale info
Dates and ticket on-sale information have surfaced for the North American leg of Phil Collins ' first solo tour in six years.
Collins is currently scheduled to kick off the run in Anaheim, CA, on Aug. 26, and dates are scheduled through late September. So far, all but one show is set in the U.S.; a lone Canadian performance is planned in Montreal on Sept. 14.
Tickets for a few of the confirmed North American dates are on sale now; the rest will hit the box office during the next month or so. Details are shown below.
Facetiously dubbed his First Final Farewell Tour, Collins kicks off the outing in early June with a month-long swing through Europe before heading across the pond for the North American jaunt.
Last year, Collins released "Testify," his first collection of all-new solo material since 1996's "Dance Into the Light." Collins worked on "Testify" with producer Rob Cavallo, with whom he also collaborated on 1999's Grammy-winning soundtrack for the animated film "Tarzan."
Collins is now working on a Broadway-musical version of "Tarzan," and also recently completed the music for the new Disney film "Brother Bear."
Last December, the charity Hope for Tomorrow--which provides financial support and offers general advice to people who are directly affected by cancer, according to its website--auctioned off an original painting of Collins. A limited-edition print of the painting, which was part of an exhibition of original paintings of music legends by Juan Carlos Ferrigno, is currently available through Hope for Tomorrow, as well as through Collins' own Little Dreams Foundation charity. Details are posted at Collins' website.
