Willie Nelson keeps the pace with more touring

Seasoned road warrior Willie Nelson , who this month celebrates his 71st birthday, continues to shun the retirement home in favor of the more familiar trappings of his tour bus.

Nelson, who launched his 2004 itinerary in early February, has extended the run through late July. Tickets for a number of shows are on sale now.

Last month, CMT unveiled the nominees for this year's Flame Worthy Awards. Among the pack of potential award winners is Nelson, who is nominated with Toby Keith for the pair's duet "Beer for My Horses," a cut that appears on Keith's 2002 album "Unleashed."

A live version of the song turns up on last year's "Willie Nelson & Friends: Live and Kickin'," which captures CMT's 70th-birthday tribute to Nelson. The set features live performances from Nelson, Neil Young, Shania Twain, Eric Clapton, Steven Tyler, Toby Keith, Norah Jones, John Mellencamp and more.

Also last year, Nelson released "Willie Nelson & Ray Price: Run That By Me One More Time." The album pairs Nelson and Price for a second time; they released a duet album titled "San Antonio Rose" in 1980.

Both "Live and Kickin" and "Run That By Me One More Time" were nominated for a Best Country Album Grammy.
