Briefly: Willie Nelson, Barbra Streisand, Warren Haynes, Amfibian
Among the artists who will join Nelson on the event's two stages are Ray Price, Asleep at the Wheel, Merle Hagard, Los Lonely Boys, Leon Russell and Jack Ingram.
More information is available at the event's website.
Barbra Streisand 's "The Movie Album," the singer's 60th LP, has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for shipping a million copies in the U.S.
According to her publicist, it is Streisand's 30th platinum album.
A June 8 release-date has been set for Warren Haynes ' "Live at Bonnaroo," which chronicles the entire 16-song acoustic set the Gov't Mule frontman/guitarist played at last year's Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee.
"It was a 90-minute set in the middle of the day when I could play whatever occurred to me," he said in a statement. "The set list was just meant to be a live performance, not a record. If I'd known it was going to be a record, I probably would have second-guessed and played it safe. But looking back and listening now, I really like it."
Among the CD's tracks are the Gov't Mule favorites "Beautifully Broken" and "Fallen Down," as well as covers of U2's "One" and Radiohead's "Lucky."
Amfibian , a band led by Phish lyricist Tom Marshall, will play four shows in support of its new album, "From the Ether."
According to a press release, the shows are set for Winooski, VT (April 24 at Higher Ground), Falls Church, VA (May 1 at State Theatre), New York City (May 7 at Knitting Factory) and Saratoga Springs, NY (June 19 at a post-Phish-concert event, venue to be announced).
