Heat Exhaustion, Minor Injuries At Greensboro Korn/Staind Show

Thirty-five concert-goers at the April 15 Korn / Staind show at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C., were treated at the venue for heat exhaustion and minor injuries, a venue official said. Seven were sent to area hospitals and released.

Fans in the general admission floor area got overheated and suffered bumps and bruises while moshing. There were no other major problems at the concert, which drew 10,000 fans, the official said. He added that this year's show had half the problems of the Korn/Rob Zombie show at the venue in 1999.

The venue had prepared for possible injuries by doubling its paramedic and security staffs.
