Jack Johnson, G. Love and Special Sauce link up for summer outing

Jack Johnson teams with G. Love & Special Sauce , as well as Donavon Frankenreiter , for a late-summer tour of North America.

The triple-bill outing kicks off in Lake Tahoe on Aug. 25, and dates are set through mid-September. The itinerary focuses on outdoor venues throughout the U.S., and also includes a lone Canadian stop. Details are shown below.

A ticket pre-sale takes place beginning on Friday (4/23), according to Jack Johnson's website. More information is posted at the site.

Johnson, a Hawaiian native and former professional surfer, released his most-recent album--titled "On and On"--last May. The set is the follow-up to his 2001 debut, "Brushfire Fairytales."

G. Love & Special Sauce--Garrett Dutton (lead vocals/guitars/harmonica), Jim "Jimi Jazz" Prescott (acoustic bass) and Jeffrey "Thunderhouse" Clemens (drums/percussion)--are working on the follow-up to 2001's "Electric Mile." The set is expected to surface in the late summer or early fall on Johnson's Brushfire Records label.

Brushfire issues Frankenreiter's self-titled debut on May 11. Johnson co-produced the set with Mario Caldato Jr.
