Godsmack to follow Metallica tour with headlining dates
Boston rockers Godsmack , who currently are wrapping up the spring leg of their tour with Metallica , aren't heading home just yet.
Godsmack's current outing with Metallica wraps up on Sunday (5/15), but the group will finish up the month by headlining a mix of club shows and radio festivals, mostly in the Midwest. The band is currently scheduled to take a breather until late summer, when another round of Metallica shows opens.
"Faceless," Godsmack 's latest album, hit stores in April of 2003. In March, the band released an acoustic EP titled "The Other Side," which features unplugged versions of previously released material and several new cuts. Frontman Sully Erna produced the EP, and "Faceless" producer David Bottrill mixed the set.
"We've always wanted to make a record like this," frontman Erna said of the acoustic EP in a statement. "It gives us a chance to spread our wings a little bit and offer the fans something different. I think they'll be pleasantly surprised by it."
The EP's track "Running Blind" is streaming at Godsmack's official website.
