Brooks and Dunn set another trip on the 'Red Dirt Road'

With a lengthy round of winter and spring tour dates now in the books, country duo Brooks & Dunn will take a quick breather before returning to the road in June.

Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn continue to support their latest album, "Red Dirt Road," which they released last July.

After three years heading up the Neon Circus & Wild West Show--a large festival that featured multiple acts and a carnival theme--Brooks & Dunn have scaled things back in 2004, focusing on smaller markets and venues.

They resume their road work with various appearances at Nashville's CMA Music Festival June 10-13, and spend much of June and July visiting other country festivals.

In August, the pair will resume their Red Dirt Roadhouse Tour, with fellow country duo Montgomery Gentry and newcomer Gretchen Wilson holding down the support slots on most shows.

Ticket on-sale information for the late-summer tour wasn't available at press time, and more dates are in the works.

The first leg of Brooks & Dunn's Red Dirt Roadhouse Tour ran from February through April, and featured fellow country acts Joe Nichols and Josh Turner.

Brooks & Dunn are nominated for five Academy of Country Music Awards this year; the trophies will be handed out on May 26 during a ceremony that will be televised live on CBS-TV.

In November, Brooks & Dunn won the CMA Award for Vocal Duo of the Year for the 11th time.
