Aimee Mann unveils more summer shows

Aimee Mann 's summer tour continues to take shape, as the singer/songwriter prepares to kick off a U.S. outing next month.

The run gets started in California on June 11, and a steady string of dates is set through June 29, when Mann performs in her hometown of Boston. Included on the schedule is a three-night stand in New York City. Two late-August West Coast dates are also lined up.

Mann continues to back 2002's "Lost in Space," which is her fourth solo collection, and her second release on her own Superego record label. Husband Michael Penn, producer/musician John Brion and singer/songwriter Jason Falkner contributed to the set, which Mann recorded during breaks from her 2000/2001 Acoustic Vaudeville tour with Penn.

In December, Mann issued a special-edition version of "Lost in Space"; the book-bound package includes additional artwork and a second disc featuring 10 bonus tracks (six live cuts, "Lost in Space" b-sides, and two previously unreleased studio cuts), as well as the "Pavlov's Bell" music video. Only 20,000 copies were pressed, according to Mann's website.
