Saves the Day sets up low price club tour, readies new album
Saves the Day has lined up plans for a summer tour of the U.S. club circuit, and is putting together an album of B-sides.
The cross-country trek gets underway on July 7 in Boston, and wraps up on the opposite coast later that same month. The group promises "low ticket prices and a longer set length," with tickets for most shows set at $12, according to the band's website.
In addition to the headlining club dates, the itinerary includes a July 17 performance at the Vans Warped Tour's stop in Salt Lake City.
Also this summer, the New Jersey-based quartet plans to release a comprehensive collection of previously unreleased material culled from its archives.
"The record will contain every little scrap of noise we recorded for the past seven to eight years," frontman Chris Conley wrote in a message posted at the band's website, "and may include ancient Sefler songs (previous incarnation of STD), with tons of old photos (see [guitarist] David [Soloway] with teeth!!!) and special liner notes."
The band is hoping to include a DVD with the release, but a final decision depends upon "whether we have enough old photage," according to Conley's message. The group has not announced a street date, but is eyeing a late summer release.
Saves the Day released its latest studio set, "In Reverie," last September. The album is the group's fourth full-length, and is its first release for DreamWorks.
