Courtney Love pleads guilty to one drug-related charge

Courtney Love pled guilty in Los Angeles on Tuesday (5/25) to being under the influence of cocaine, and agreed to enter a drug treatment program.

In exchange for the guilty plea on the misdemeanor charge, a charge of disorderly conduct is expected to be dismissed when Love is sentenced on July 16, according to published reports.

A prosecutor told reporters that Love, 39, is expected to enter an outpatient treatment program that will last several months. If she completes the rehab, the case will be removed from her record.

The case is one of two stemming from related incidents that took place on Oct. 2, allegedly when an intoxicated Love tried to break into the home of an acquaintance in Los Angeles. Later the same day, authorities were called to Love's home in Beverly Hills to treat her for a drug overdose. While at her home, police allegedly found two legal painkillers--hydrocodone and oxycodone--for which Love had no prescription. She is scheduled to appear in court in Beverly Hills next week on felony charges for possession of the two drugs.

Love launches her inaugural solo tour next month.
