Courtney Love [ tickets ], who earlier this week announced plans to mount her first-ever solo outing, has added a number of dates to the run.

The itinerary--which still begins with a June 18 performance in New Haven, CT--now includes stops in Asbury Park, NJ; Chicago; Minneapolis; Denver; San Diego; and Sacramento, CA. Love's July 23 performance at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles still caps the run.

Tickets for a number of shows are already on sale to the general public, while registered users of Love's website have access to exclusive ticket pre-sales for the remaining dates. More information is posted at the site.

The tour supports Love's solo debut, "America's Sweetheart," which surfaced in February. The set is Love's first release since Hole's 1998 swan-song, "Celebrity Skin." She pulled the plug on that group in May of 2002.

Love has made headlines in recent months thanks more to her legal battles than her music. Last October, she was arrested for allegedly trying to break into her former manager/boyfriend's home, and was charged with misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Later the same day, Oct. 2, Love was arrested and charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.

On Tuesday (5/25), the singer--who is the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain--pled guilty to charges stemming from the break-in of being under the influence of cocaine, and agreed to enter a drug-treatment program.

Earlier this month, Love pled innocent to charges of assault and reckless endangerment for allegedly hitting a fan in the head with a microphone stand during a March performance.
