Less Than Jake joins Linkin Park's Projekt Revolution Tour
Florida-based punk-pop band Less Than Jake has claimed a spot on this summer's edition of Linkin Park 's Projekt Revolution Tour, which also features Korn , The Used , Snoop Dogg and others.
Less Than Jake--which is set to open Projekt Revolution's main stage each day--will be backing its forthcoming odds-and-ends album, "B is for B-Sides," which compiles a mix of European B-sides and previously unreleased tracks. The set is scheduled to hit stores on July 20.
Projekt Revolution kicks off in Cincinnati on July 23, and will travel the U.S. amphitheater circuit through early September.
Besides the main-stage acts, Projekt Revolution will also feature second-stage performers Ghostface, Downset, M.O.P. and Funeral for a Friend.
Linkin Park continues to tour behind last year's "Meteora," which, with sales exceeding 4 million copies in the U.S., was the best-selling rock album of 2003. The band's 2000 debut, "Hybrid Theory," has sold 15 million copies worldwide, and was the best-selling album of 2001, according to Warner Bros.
Korn is backing its sixth studio album--and first self-produced set--last November's "Take a Look In the Mirror." The collection features the cut "Did My Time," which was among this year's Grammy nominees for Best Metal Performance. A new best-of album, which will also include two new songs, is due from Korn this summer, according to the band's official website.
The first Projekt Revolution tour took place in 2002, and featured Cypress Hill, Adema and DJ Z-Trip. Last year's edition included Xzibit, Mudvayne and Blindside.
