Courtney Love faces more legal trouble

Embattled rock singer Courtney Love is facing a new assault charge, this time in connection with an April tussle with a woman at the home of an ex-boyfriend.

A judge has issued an arrest warrant, and Love is expected to surrender to Los Angeles police next week, according to published reports.

Love allegedly assaulted a woman with a bottle and a flashlight on April 28 at the Los Angeles home of Jim Barber, her former manager and boyfriend.

If convicted, Love could face up to four years in prison.

Love pleaded guilty in March to being under the influence of cocaine during an October incident, and agreed to enter a drug-treatment program. She still faces separate drug possession charges in Beverly Hills, CA.
