Jethro Tull's tour to mix acoustic and electric numbers

Jethro Tull is eyeing a late-fall return to North America for a road trip that will find the group splitting its time between electric and acoustic performances.

So far, confirmed dates fill the first three weeks of November. Each show will feature an acoustic first half and an electric second half, according to the band's website.

In April, Jethro Tull issued remastered versions of three of its early albums: 1978's "Busting Out," 1979's "Stormwatch" and 1980's "A." The new versions of "Busting Out" and "Stormwatch" include additional tracks not featured on the original recordings, while "A" includes a bonus DVD that houses live footage shot during the "A" tour, as well as several of the group's music videos.

Earlier this year, the band released a DVD version of "A New Day Yesterday: 1969-1994 - The 25th Anniversary Collection"; the film, which originally surfaced on VHS a decade ago, has been remastered to DVD with stereo sound, according to a press release.

Last fall, Jethro Tull offered up its latest studio release, "The Jethro Tull Christmas Album." The set features a mix of re-recorded old songs, holiday standards and new original cuts.
