Kid Rock rolls on with more summer tour dates

The itinerary for Kid Rock [ tickets ]'s in-progress tour continues to swell, with dates now stretching through the end of the summer.

The latest additions to the route fill in a number of August blanks, and include the tour's first batch of September shows. Details appear below.

Rock has been on the road for much of this year in support of his self-titled 2003 release, which surfaced late last year. The album, which is the follow-up to 2001's "Cocky," features Rock's latest single, "Jackson Mississippi." The song's music video is streaming at his website.

Backing Rock on the set--and joining him on the road--is his longtime band, Twisted Brown Trucker: guitarists Kenny Olson and Jason Krause, keyboardist Jimmie Bones and drummer Stefanie Eulinberg.

Guest musicians who turn up on "Kid Rock [ tickets ]" include Kenny Wayne Shepherd, David McMurray, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, Hank Williams Jr. and Sheryl Crow.
