Clint Black Joins Former Eagles For Animal Rescue Benefit

Clint Black will join Bruce Hornsby, Eddie Money and Eagles members Glenn Frey, Timothy B. Schmit and Joe Walsh in a benefit concert on January 9th at the Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek, California for the Animal Rescue Foundation. The event will mark the only announced shows for Black and the Eagles members in 1999.

The event was organized in large part by St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa, who created the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) in 1991, while managing the Oakland A's. The organization, based in Northern California, places homeless animals in new homes and works with local schools to educate children on animal care.

The Eagles have been on hiatus since finishing up their reunion tour in August of 1996, though various combinations of members have surfaced at various benefits, including a June, 1998 benefit for the Tiger Woods Foundation in Los Angeles that drew the whole group together for several songs.

Black recently finished an extensive tour in support of 1997's Nothin' But The Taillights release. RCA Records will release the sixth single from Taillights, You Know It All, on January 18th.

Tickets to the benefit can be purchased directly from the venue at 925-943-7469. More information about the event and the organization is available at the Clint Black web site.
