Olivia Newton-John returns to the states for tour
Australian singer Olivia Newton-John leaves her homeland later this summer to perform for her U.S. fans.
Newton-John's itinerary is currently broken into two segments: the first runs from late August through late September; the second kicks off at the end of October and runs through mid-November. Details are shown below.
Newton-John, who hasn't released a new set of original material in the U.S. since 1998's "Back with a Heart," is best known for her string of '70s- and '80s-era hits--such as "I Honestly Love You," "Have You Never Been Mellow" and "Physical"--as well as her starring role in the movie musical "Grease, as well as its soundtrack.
While the U.S. hasn't seen new material from the singer in years, her recording career continues to flourish Down Under. In 2002, she issued in Australia a new set titled "2," a collection of duets with artists including Keith Urban, Richard Marx and Michael McDonald. Also included is an acoustic version of 1981's "Physical."
