Blues Traveler's schedule includes six free club gigs
The six free shows will take place in Denver, New York City, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston and Washington, DC. More information about the free dates--open to fans ages 21 and up--is available at Blues Traveler's website.
According to a press release, concertgoers at each of the free shows will receive "special disposable Pilsner Urquell cameras for groups of four to take original, creative photographs featuring the band or Pilsner Urquell throughout the night."
The cameras will be collected at the end of the concerts, and Pilsner Urquell will choose "the most original and creative photo from all of the concerts." The person who took the photo and up to three friends in the chosen photo will win a trip to see Blues Traveler play live in Prague. More details are posted at Pilsner Urquell's website.
Last November, the group issued "Thinnest of Air: Live from Red Rocks," a two-DVD set that features the group's July 4, 2003 show at the Denver-area venue.
Blues Traveler's most-recent studio album is last year's "Truth Be Told," a 12-track set that the group recorded with producer Don Gehman (Hootie & the Blowfish, John Mellencamp).
