Wynonna Judd adds fall leg to tour plans
Wynonna Judd follows her summer tour with a special fall outing that will feature an all-new set list and production format.
At each stop on the fall tour, Judd will "chronologically tell the tales of her life and the songs that inspired her extremely successful career," according to a press release. The set list will include songs culled from throughout her 20-year recording career, as well as covers of songs originally performed by Dolly Parton, Tina Turner, The Andrews Sisters, Al Green and others.
Dubbed "Her Story: Scenes from a Lifetime Tour," the trek kicks off on Oct. 14 and runs through Nov. 20; details are shown below. Members of Judd's official fan club will have access to a ticket pre-sale on July 10, according to her website. More information is posted at the site.
The fall excursion follows Judd's summer road trip, which includes a July 4 performance her mother, Naomi, at Houston's Freedom Over Texas 2004 celebration; the show, which marks The Judds ' 20th anniversary, will be broadcast throughout Texas, and will also feature three additional stages of music and a fireworks show.
Wynonna continues to support her 2003 album, "What the World Needs Now is Love" which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, and at No. 8 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The set marked her first No. 1 debut since 1993's "Tell Me Why."
The Judds have been mostly dormant in recent years, but Wynonna and Naomi occasionally reunite for special occasions. The duo has sold more than 20 million albums, scored 14 No. 1 country singles and won five Grammys, according to a press release.
