More U.S. dates on tap for country favorite Toby Keith

Toby Keith --who is back at home after completing a USO tour that touched down in Kosovo, Germany, Italy, Afghanistan and Iraq--is readying for a lengthy round of U.S. tour dates that gets underway later this month.

The upcoming outing focuses on the U.S. amphitheater circuit, with a few fair and festival dates also in the mix.

Keith continues to support his 2002 release, "Shock'N Y'all," which is certified triple-platinum in the U.S. "Whiskey Girl," the latest single from the set, has been a mainstay on country radio and on the cable country network CMT.

In April, Keith and fellow country singer Kenny Chesney led the pack at the CMT 2004 Flame Worthy Video Music Awards, taking home two awards each. Keith took the event's top honor, Video of the Year, for "American Soldier," and also scored the Collaborative Video of the Year trophy for "Beer for My Horses," his duet with Willie Nelson.

"Beer for My Horses" also pulled down the Video Director of the Year award for Keith's longtime collaborator Michael Salomon.

Keith dominated the 39th annual Academy of Country Music Awards in May, taking home four trophies--including his second straight Entertainer of the Year award. He also won Album of the Year for "Shock 'N Y'all," and ACM/Launch Video of the Year for "Beer for My Horses."
