They Might Be Giants confirm more shows
With their first new rock album in three years now in stores, They Might Be Giants have added several new dates to a North American tour that got underway earlier this month.
The tour includes a mix of festival gigs and club dates in support of the duo's 10th album, "The Spine." TMBG's John Linnell and John Flansburgh co-produced the set with Pat Dillett, who also worked on TMBG's platinum 1990 album, "Flood."
The band has simultaneously issued the exclusive EP "The Spine Surfs Alone" via its website.
TMBG's previous release was a 2002 children's album titled "No!" The enhanced CD features 17 songs (among them "I Am a Grocery Bag" and "Robot Parade") and extras, including animations, games and a sing-along scroll bar. Details and samples from the album are posted at the band's giantkid.net website. In 2001, the band issued the rock album "Mink Car."
In other TMBG news, "Gigantic: A Tale of Two Johns," a documentary about the band by music video director AJ Schnack, is now available on DVD. More information is posted at the movie's website.
