Polyphonic Spree plots more summer headlining dates
The Polyphonic Spree , one of a number of acts that originally planned to spend its summer on board the now-defunct Lollapalooza tour, has penciled in more of its own headlining shows.
The self-described symphonic rockers have lined up two-night stands in Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia and New York City, as well as a one-off date in Washington, DC, all of which take place between Aug. 13 and Aug. 25. Details are shown below.
The newly announced shows replaces the group's previous plans for a series of August shows that were scheduled to take place on Lollapalooza's off-days.
Dallas-based The Polyphonic Spree released its sophomore album, "Together We're Heavy," on July 13. Led by former Tripping Daisy frontman Tim DeLaughter, the group features 22-members who dress in flowing robes.
