Franz Ferdinand backs debut with North American shows
Glasgow's Franz Ferdinand crosses the pond later this year to support its self-titled debut with a round of North American concerts.
So far, the group has locked in a handful of September stops in the U.S. and Canada, as well as a lone October date in Toronto. Details are shown below.
The North American dates follow the group's current turn on the European summer-festival circuit, which runs through the end of August.
Franz Ferdinand-- singer/guitarist Alex Kapranos, guitarist Nick McCarthy, bassist Bob Hardy and drummer Paul Thomson--released its debut full-length in March. The self-titled set follows the group's 2003 EP, "Darts of Pleasure."
In May, McCarthy told NME.com that the he and his bandmates plan to release their next album in early 2005.
