Briefly: Ashlee Simpson, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Brooks and Dunn
Ashlee Simpson now has something her more-famous older sister Jessica doesn't: a No. 1 album.
Ashlee's debut, "Autobiography," enters The Billboard 200 album chart at No. 1 this week with sales of close to 400,000 copies. It knocks Jimmy Buffett's "License to Chill" down one notch to No. 2, according to Billboard.
The new Van Halen compilation "The Best of Both Worlds" enters the chart at No. 3, while Usher's "Confessions" falls two slots to No. 4. Gretchen Wilson's "Here for the Party" rounds out the Top 5.
Justin Timberlake reportedly has won a restraining order against a paparazzi photographer he alleges was stalking him. Timberlake reportedly has also filed a libel suit against the U.K. tabloid News of the World, which recently reported that the singer cheated on his girlfriend, actress Cameron Diaz.
The start of Michael Jackson 's trial has been pushed back four months to Jan. 31. The Santa Barbara Superior Court judge who is hearing the case reportedly approved the delay because of the case's complexity.
Jackson--who is free on $3 million bail--has been indicted on felony charges of child molestation, giving a child an intoxicating agent, conspiracy to abduct a child, false imprisonment and extortion.
Country duo Brooks & Dunn --along with Rascal Flatts, Steve Holy and The Corrs--will play an Aug. 6 concert for about 30,000 military members, their families and guests at San Diego's Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base.
