Recovered Ryan Adams takes to the road in September

After taking much of the year off to recover from the broken wrist he suffered during a January tumble from a Liverpool stage, rocker Ryan Adams is ready to perform again.

Adams is set to play six headlining dates in September, and will also appear at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas. Pre-sale tickets are offered for some shows before they go on sale to the general public; details are posted on Adams' website.

The latest full-length set from the prolific singer/songwriter, "Rock N Roll," hit stores last November, as did the EP "Love Is Hell, Part 1"; a second EP, "Love Is Hell, Part 2," followed in December.

Meanwhile, Apple's iTunes music store is selling an exclusive Adams EP titled "Moroccan Role." It features three new tracks: "Ah, Life," "I'm Coming Over" and "Don't Even Know Her Name."

Adams broke his wrist during a Jan. 22 performance. According to Lost Highway Records, "about 90 minutes into the set, Adams was singing his song 'Shadowlands' to the enthusiastic crowd from the edge of the stage. Adams took a step forward, and fell. The singer finished the song, but had to cancel the remainder of the show."

The remaining European dates on Adams schedule were subsequently canceled, as was a planned March tour of North America.
