Brad Paisley's tour bus keeps logging the miles

Country star Brad Paisley continues to chip away at his ambitious 2004 tour in support of his third consecutive million-selling album, "Mud on the Tires."

The singer, songwriter and guitarist is spending his summer playing a mix of fair, festival and casino shows, and will headline several dates this fall.

"Mud on the Tires" debuted atop Billboard's country album chart in July. The set features the hit "Celebrity," the music video for which spoofed reality TV shows, the follow-up smash "Little Moments" and "Whiskey Lullaby," a duet with Alison Krauss.

Recently, Paisley and fellow country act Sara Evans teamed to produce and record a new track titled "New Again" for inclusion on an album of music inspired by Mel Gibson's film "The Passion of the Christ." The album, titled "The Passion of the Christ--Songs," also features original tracks by Lauryn Hill, P.O.D, Matchbox Twenty's Rob Thomas and others, and is due in stores on Aug. 31.

Paisley burst onto the country-music scene with his 1999 debut, "Who Needs Pictures." The album spawned the hit singles "Me Neither," "He Didn't Have to Be," "We Danced" and the title track, and garnered the singer a slew of awards. His sophomore effort, "Part II," surfaced in 2001.
