Alter Bridge [ tickets ]--featuring former Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti, drummer Scott Phillips and bassist Brian Marshall, along with former Mayfield Four frontman Myles Kennedy--is gearing up for its inaugural tour.

The run, which is booked into North American clubs, launches on Sept. 23, and dates are set through late October. Tickets for all of the currently confirmed stops are scheduled to hit the box office throughout August. Details are shown below.

"It's no longer about the past--it's about the future," Tremonti said in a statement. "This is a new band and a new beginning and we can't wait to be out there on the road playing these tunes live for the fans."

The tour kick-off follows the Aug. 10 release of Alter Bridge's debut album. Titled "One Day Remains," the set features lead-off single "Open Your Eyes." The cut is streaming at Alter Bridge's website.

Tremonti, Phillips and Marshall first met Kennedy in 1998, when the Mayfield Four was opening for Creed.

"The three of us have always been great friends, so it was important to find somebody who could fit in and who we would be comfortable with," Tremonti said in a statement. "There is no doubt that Myles is that guy."

The group takes its name from a bridge near Tremonti's childhood home in Detroit, according to a press release.

Creed announced its break-up in June.
