Colorado-based jam band String Cheese Incident [ tickets ], which is currently wrapping up a mix of festival and headlining dates, has unveiled its schedule for the rest of the year.

String Cheese Incident's current summer trek ends with an Aug. 24 show in Houston, and the group is scheduled to make only one appearance in September--at San Francisco's Power to the Peaceful Festival, which takes place on Sept. 11 at Golden Gate Park's Speedway Meadow. A full line-up for that free event hadn't been announced at press time.

The band's roadwork resumes in late October with an itinerary that includes multi-night stands in Austin, TX; Asheville, NC; Camden, NJ; and Chicago. The year wraps up with a two-night stand at New York's Theater at Madison Square Garden, followed by a New Year's Eve gig at Radio City Music Hall. Ticket information for the fall shows is available at String Cheese Incident's website; on-sale information for the winter shows hasn't been announced.

String Cheese Incident's sixth album, "Untying the Knot," was released last year on the band's own label. In addition to label operations, the self-sufficient band also operates its own travel- and talent-booking agencies, as well as a ticket company, SCI Ticketing.

The band launched an online venture in 2002, SCI on the Road, to sell live copies of their shows and compile set lists, photo galleries and reviews. Through the site, fans are able to purchase CDs of individual shows or discounted packages of CDs representing complete tours.
