Willie Nelson plots dates to follow tour with Bob Dylan
Following his late-summer run with fellow music legend Bob Dylan , Willie Nelson will continue to tour on his own.
So far, the weathered country veteran has nailed down a handful of September stops in Washington state and California; details are shown below.
Members of Nelson's official fan club, Club Luck, have a shot at tickets before the general public. More information is available at the club's website.
The day after his Sept. 17 headlining performance in Goldendale, WA, Nelson heads to Auburn for the first-ever West Coast edition of the annual Farm Aid concert. Nelson, the president of Farm Aid, will share the stage at the event with fellow Farm Aid founders Neil Young and John Mellencamp, as well as Dave Matthews, who joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.
Nelson's headlining run and Farm Aid appearance follow his 22-date co-headlining tour with Dylan, which is booked into minor league baseball stadiums. The run is set to launch in Cooperstown, NY--home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum--on Friday (8/6), and wraps up in early September.
Earlier this year, Nelson canceled a series of concerts due to carpal tunnel syndrome, for which he recently underwent surgery after other treatments failed to improve his condition.
