William Lee Golden, the baritone in country group The Oak Ridge Boys known for his long beard, suffered a mild heart attack in Wisconsin on Saturday (8/7), according to a statement on the group's official website.

Golden underwent emergency surgery, during which a stent was inserted for a severely blocked artery.

The Oak Ridge Boys don't plan to cancel any shows during Golden's recovery, which is expected to take a few months. Golden's son Chris will help with harmonies along with Jimmy Fulbright, the band's bass player.
