Fire destroyed about $500,000 worth of gear this week at a Burbank, CA, studio where Black Eyed Peas were recording their new album, according to published reports. No one was injured in the blaze, which caused an estimated $50,000 in damage to Glenwood Place Studios.
Authorities reportedly believe the fire was caused by candles that the group lit during the recording session and forgot to extinguish.
George Clinton was sentenced to 200 hours of community service and two years of probation after pleading no contest to two misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charges in Florida.
The charges stemmed from December, when Clinton was approached by a police officer who thought he saw a man smoking marijuana in a parked car. Clinton allegedly admitted that he had "a little cocaine," as well as ownership of a glass crack pipe the officer saw on the seat beside him.
A celebrity photographer has filed a suit against Christina Aguilera and one of her bodyguards. The photographer claims the bodyguard punched and spat at him during a 2001 incident at a Hollywood nightclub.
