Dan Fogelberg calls off tour after cancer diagnosis

Singer/songwriter Dan Fogelberg , who was scheduled to embark on a solo acoustic tour this fall, has canceled the outing to undergo cancer treatments.

"Dan has been recently diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer and has entered treatment," said a statement posted on Fogelberg's official website. "He apologizes for any inconvenience the cancellation of the concerts may cause his fans. Dan is confident he will be able to fight this illness. Your prayers, good wishes and positive thoughts will be very much appreciated."

Fogelberg's most recent release was 2003's "Full Circle."
