Briefly: Beastie Boys, Ashlee Simpson, SoulFest Atlanta, country voters

Austin, TX, is the latest confirmed stop on the upcoming Beastie Boys tour, which gets underway on Sept. 9 in Colorado.

The Austin show is set to take place on Oct. 22 at the Frank Erwin Center. Tickets will go on sale via TexasBoxOffice on Saturday, according to Beastie Boys' official website.

The rap trio is so far scheduled to visit 11 cities on its fall tour.

Ashlee Simpson 's "Autobiography" remains atop the U.S. album chart for its second straight week and its third week overall. Meanwhile, the hits compilation "NOW That's What I Call Music! Vol. 16" holds steady at No. 2 on The Billboard 200.

Imprisoned rapper Shyne--who is serving a 10-year sentence in connection with a 1999 shooting--debuts at No. 3 with his new album "Godfather ... Buried Alive."

Mobb Deep 's "Americaz Nightmare" enters the chart at No. 4, while Creed spin-off group Alter Bridge enters the chart at No. 5 with its debut, "One Day Remains."

Big Boi of OutKast and Sleepy Brown top the bill of the inaugural SoulFest Atlanta 2004, a two-day festival set for Sept. 4 and 5 at Atlanta's Turner Field. LL Cool J, Angie Stone, Mos Def, Chaka Kahn and Anthony Hamilton will also perform.

Country musicians including Ricky Skaggs , Josh Turner, Marty Raybon and Billy Dean have launched "Your Country, Your Vote," a campaign to encourage voters of all political persuasions to exercise their right to vote. More information is available at the organization's website.
