The Cure reschedules Washington show

The Curiosa festival's Saturday (8/21) stop at The Gorge in Quincy, WA, has been canceled because The Cure 's Robert Smith returned to London this week for "personal reasons," according to organizers.

Promoter House of Blues Concerts announced that The Cure will make up the missed date by playing an Aug. 31 show--without opening acts--at the Everett Event Center in Everett, WA. Tickets for the Curiosa show at The Gorge will be honored on the rescheduled date; more information is available at The Cure's website.

None of the remaining dates on the Curiosa tour--which also features main-stage acts Interpol , The Rapture and Mogwai , as well as a second-stage bill of Muse , Cooper Temple Clause, Melissa Auf der Maur, Cursive, Head Automatica and others--are affected by the change.
