Bad Religion 'Strikes First' with U.S. club tour
With their 13th studio album now in stores and their lengthy Warped Tour stint in the books, Southern California punk-rock mainstays Bad Religion are again readying for the road.
A dozen fall club dates were confirmed at press time, starting on Oct. 14 in Dallas. More dates will be announced, according to Bad Religion's official website.
On Bad Religion's new album, "The Empire Strikes First," the always politically outspoken group questions the Bush administration's doctrine of preemptive war, as well as the role of religion in American politics.
The set, which was issued in June, was co-written and co-produced by Bad Religion vocalist Greg Graffin and guitarist Brett Gurewitz.
"The Empire Strikes First" is the follow-up to 2002's "The Process of Belief," which marked Bad Religion's return to its original label, Epitaph, and the return of Gurewitz, who left the group to run Epitaph when Bad Religion signed to a major label in the early '90s.
