Jim Brickman locks in plans for fall tour and holiday outing
Jim Brickman has revealed the details of his annual holiday tour, and has also penciled in a number of fall shows that will precede the holiday outing.
The pianist has several clusters of September, October and November headlining dates planned, including a five-night run at Connecticut's Mohegan Sun Casino. Once those are out of the way, he'll launch his Jim Brickman and Friends Holiday Tour, which runs from Nov. 26 through New Year's Eve. Details are shown below.
Joining Brickman on the holiday run are singers Anne Cochran, Kristy Starling and Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees), as well as electric violinist Tracy Silverman. All four artists appear on Brickman's 2003 holiday release, "Peace," and also teamed with Brickman during last year's incarnation of his holiday outing.
In March, Brickman offered up a best-of set, simply titled "Jim Brickman Greatest Hits."
In related news, Brickman will make a guest appearance on saxophonist Kenny G's next album, which is tentatively due out this fall, according to Brickman's website. The two are teaming up to record a cover version of singer Norah Jones' hit single "Don't Know Why."
