Nintendo Fusion Tour schedule continues to grow
With the launch date quickly approaching, the itinerary for the Nintendo Fusion Tour--featuring alt-rockers Story of the Year --now stretches well into November.
Organizers, who last month unveiled about half of the tour's 37-city schedule, have now confirmed dates and venues for the remainder of the run, which kicks off Sept. 20 in Texas and is scheduled to wrap up Nov. 12 in St. Louis. Details are shown below.
Joining Story of the Year on the bill are Lostprophets , My Chemical Romance , Letter Kills, Anberlin and Autopilot Off. Additionally, Taking Back Sunday , Fall Out Boy and Matchbook Romance will perform at the Oct. 7-8 shows in Seattle.
Tickets for most shows are priced at less than $20, plus service charges, according to organizers, and are on sale now.
At each tour stop, organizers will "transform he lobby of the venue into an immersive entertainment space with music, custom lighting and specially designed gaming kiosks featuring the hottest upcoming Nintendo GameCube games," according to a press release. Giveaways are planned, and a radio-station contest winner in each city will get to compete in a video game against a member of Story of the Year.
More information is available at the tour's official website.
Story of the Year continues to back its debut album, last September's "Page Avenue," which features the singles "Until the Day I Die" and "Anthem of Our Dying Day." Four cuts from the album are streaming at the tour's website.
Lostprophets' latest set is this year's "Start Something," which spawned the No. 1 Modern Rock Tracks hit "Last Train Home," as well as new single "Wake Up (Make a Move)."
My Chemical Romance released its major-label debut, "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge," earlier this year, and Letter Kills' new album, "The Bridge," arrived in stores in July.
Anberlin's debut album, "Blueprints for the Black Market," surfaced in mid-2003; a follow-up is planned for early next year. Autopilot Off issued its first full-length set, "Make a Sound," in April.
