Motorhead calls off fall tour

Motorhead has canceled its fall tour of the U.S., citing a foot injury suffered by vocalist/bassist Lemmy.

According to a press release, Lemmy injured his foot while touring Europe about a month ago. Against his doctor's recommendation, the singer played the few remaining dates on the tour, which aggravated the injury.

Motorhead is planning to return to the U.S. for a March 2005 tour. The pioneering metal band issued its latest album, "Inferno," last March.
