Briefly: Destiny's Child, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, R. Kelly
"Destiny Fulfilled," the long-awaited follow-up to Destiny's Child 's 2001 set, "Survivor," hits stores on Nov. 16.
The album's first single is the Rodney Jerkins-produced track "Lose My Breath," which recently debuted on AOL Music, a service available exclusively to AOL subscribers.
Capitol Records will issue the new album " John Lennon Acoustic" and a remixed, remastered version of Lennon's 1975 set, "Rock 'n' Roll," on Nov. 2.
Seven of the 17 tracks on "Acoustic" are previously unreleased. "Rock 'n' Roll"--a covers album that pays tribute to Lennon's teenage idols (including Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and Little Richard)--is augmented with four bonus tracks.
" Bob Dylan 's American Journey, 1956-1966," the first comprehensive exhibit dedicated to Dylan's early career, opens Nov. 20 at Experience Music Project, a Seattle pop-music museum.
R. Kelly will headline the Congressional Black Caucus Spouses 12th Annual Benefit Concert on Friday (9/10) in Washington, DC.
According to a press release, the concert will raise money "for scholarships that enable thousands of needy young people around the country to get the education they need to pursue professional careers."
