Vanessa Carlton tunes up for 'Harmonium'
Vanessa Carlton has lined up a month of fall club dates as she paves the way for the release of her sophomore album, "Harmonium," which is due in stores Nov. 9.
Carlton so far is scheduled to open her 15-plus-city North American club trek on Oct. 21 in Minneapolis.
She'll warm up for the outing with a Monday (9/13) appearance at a get-out-the-vote event-- dubbed "Vaginas Vote, Chicks Rock"--at New York City's Apollo Theater. Other celebrities scheduled to appear at the show include Toni Childs, Eve Ensler, Jane Fonda, Isabella Rossellina, Gloria Steinem and Julia Stiles.
"Harmonium" is the follow-up to "Be Not Nobody," the young singer/songwriter/pianist's 2002 debut.
"White Houses," the first single from the new set, is already receiving airplay on radio and on MTV. The song and its accompanying music video are streaming at Carlton's website.
