Kravitz Tour Comes To Abrupt Halt
Lenny Kravitz 's "Freedom Tour" is going out with a whisper as Kravitz postponed or canceled four of its final dates, reportedly due to the artist's bout with throat troubles.
The Kravitz camp plans to reschedule for November shows that were to take place at The Joint in Las Vegas (10/9), at Key Arena in Seattle (10/15), and at GM Place in Vancouver (10/16). An Oct. 11 show at Concord Pavilion in Concord, Calif. won't be rescheduled because of scheduling conflicts and the end of the amphitheater's season, according to venue officials.
On May 30 -- during the final show of a tour with Everlast and The Black Crowes -- Kravitz reportedly collapsed from heat exhaustion 40 minutes into his performance at the P.N.C. Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, N.J. Last year, Kravitz dropped several shows, citing throat problems.
His next scheduled appearance is Thursday (10/21) at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, also featuring the Goo Goo Dolls.
Smash Mouth and Buckcherry supported Kravitz on the ''Freedom Tour,'' which began Aug. 20, on the heels of Kravitz's European tour.
