Pennebaker (who were behind The Rolling Stones' film "Gimme Shelter," and the Bob Dylan documentary "Don't Look Back," among others) will feature behind-the-scenes footage from the tour and live performances from the Oct. 11 Vote for Change concert in Washington, DC.
Scheduled Oct. 11 performers include Bonnie Raitt , Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Dave Matthews Band, Dixie Chicks, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Jurassic 5, Keb' Mo', Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Pearl Jam and R.E.M.
The entire Washington, DC show will also be webcast at www.vfcfinale.com.
Britney Spears has parted ways with her longtime manager, Larry Rudolph, according to a statement issued by Rudolph's ReignDeer Entertainment company.
According to the statement, Spears and Rudolph "mutually agreed not to renew their nine-year management relationship," which began when Spears was 13 years old.
"Britney and I simply realized that we have done all we can do together," Rudolph said in a statement. He cited his desire to "take on new challenges at this point in my career and get back to what I enjoy most--developing and nurturing young talent and producing television and film projects."
"We had a great run and I appreciate all of Larry's guidance over the years," Spears said in a statement. "I wish him all of the best."
An Oct. 29 release date is set for the concert DVD "Willie Nelson & Friends: Outlaws and Angels," recorded in May 2004 at the Wiltern LG in Los Angeles. The program originally aired on the USA Network this summer.
The show, hosted by actor James Caan, includes performances by Kid Rock, Keith Richards, Bob Dylan, Carole King,
Toby Keith, Shelby Lynne, Merle Haggard and Lee Ann Womack, among others.
"The History of Iron Maiden - Part 1; The Early Days"--a 2-DVD set that includes early concert footage, music videos and a 90-minute documentary about the British metal band--is due in stores on Nov. 9.
