Briefly: Incubus, The Cure, Britney Spears, Big Day Out
Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd reportedly was arrested after baggage screeners found a switchblade in his bag when he attempted to pass through security Wednesday (10/6) at New York's LaGuardia Airport.
Boyd--who reportedly admitted that he accidentally left the knife in the bag--was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, but was allowed to fly to North Carolina for a concert.
A deluxe edition of The Cure 's 1979 debut, "Three Imaginary Boys," is scheduled to hit stores in the U.S. on Dec. 7.
The two-CD set includes a digitally remastered version of the original album as well as rarities from 1977-79, compiled by Cure frontman Robert Smith. Among the rarities are six previously unreleased tracks and 15 songs previously unavailable on CD.
Pop star Britney Spears --who exchanged wedding vows with dancer Kevin Federline during a September ceremony in Los Angeles--has made the marriage legal.
"All the proper paperwork was dealt with today, filed, done," Spears' publicist told Reuters. "It's all legal."
People magazine published photos from the wedding, but an US Weekly story--citing the lack of a wedding license--alleged that the ceremony was fake.
Beastie Boys , System of a Down, Chemical Brothers, The Streets and The Donnas are on board for this year's edition of the Big Day Out festival, which tours Australia and New Zealand from late January through early February.
